Flowability of EGAIn in electronic microchannels was studied. The influence of oxidative conditions on the mechanical properties of EGAIn have been reported.Development of spherical and non-spherical EGAIn microdroplets in microchannels at room temperature was investigated. Gallium-Indium eutectic top contact may be used to test P3HT-PCBM organic solar cells. The wetting behavior of the liquid on a microtextured surface was reported. EGAIn may be used to coat anodized alumina templates prior to the electrodeposition of Ni nanowires on it.

General description

Gallium-Indium eutectic (EGAIn) is an electrically conductive fluid metal.The eutectic is composed of 75.5% Ga and 24.5% In by weight. The resistivity of EGAIn is ~29.4X10^-6 W-cm.The low viscosity liquid is easily moldable and useful for various electronic applications.
