The EZ-FIT® filtration units are used in general microbiological analysis such as bioburden testing of antibiotics and solvents.

General description

The EZ-FIT® filtration unit is a single-use filtration device made of white, plain, and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane with a pink base. It avoids exposure to the risks of microbiological analysis, thereby providing a safe and fast way of performing membrane filtration. These filtration units provide time saving and reliable microbial enumeration results. They also prevent any leaks or sample by-pass of the membrane. The filtration units are pre-sterilized, a vented lid covers the sample throughout filtration, and a 360° rim prevents forceps from accidentally touching the membrane filtration area and protect samples from contamination. The clear and transparent funnel material allows for the visualization until the end of the filtration process, from any angle. The filtration units minimize sample residue and can be stacked to save the work area. This disposable device is designed to fit onto the EZ-FIT® Manifold, which features specific EZ-FIT® Filtration heads. It can also fit onto a standard #8 stopper.
