Application

The EZ-FIT® filtration units are used to check for bioburden in liquid samples, including in-process and final product samples (beverages, pharmaceuticals, and water). They are also used in industrial QC and water monitoring.

General description

The EZ-FIT® filtration units are sterile, single-use filtration devices made of white, gridded, and mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membrane with a pink base. They deliver a safe and fast way of performing membrane filtration, along with providing time saving and reliable microbial enumeration results. They also prevent any leaks or sample by-pass of the membrane. A vented lid covers the sample throughout filtration, and a 360° rim prevents forceps from accidentally touching the membrane filtration area and protect samples from contamination. The clear and transparent funnel material facilitates the visualization of the filtration process at any angle until the end. They minimize sample residue and can be stacked to save the work area. The units are disposable and are designed to fit onto the EZ-FIT® Manifold, which features specific EZ-FIT® Filtration heads. It can also fit onto a standard #8 stopper.
